Position Title: Faculty Member in Electrical Engineering

Position Overview
The Mediterranean Institute of Technology (MedTech) is seeking a highly qualified and motivated Faculty Member in Electrical Engineering to contribute to its innovative and student-centered academic environment. The successful candidate will play an active role in teaching, mentoring students, supporting curriculum development, and contributing to research and industry engagement initiatives.
We are particularly interested in candidates with expertise in Feedback Control Systems and Robotics, including areas such as Control Engineering, Dynamic Systems, Automation, Linear Systems, Mechatronics, and Robotics and Autonomous Systems.
The ideal candidate combines academic excellence with a passion for teaching, collaboration, and continuous innovation in engineering education.
Key Responsibilities
Teaching and Student Learning
- Teach courses in Electrical Engineering and related disciplines.
- Deliver engaging, high-quality instruction in English using innovative and student-centered teaching approaches.
- Develop course materials, assessments, and learning activities aligned with program learning outcomes.
Curriculum Development and Academic Quality
- Contribute to the continuous review and enhancement of curricula to ensure relevance and alignment with industry needs.
- Participate in accreditation and quality assurance processes.
- Support the integration of emerging technologies and best practices into teaching and learning.
Research and Innovation
- Conduct scholarly research in areas related to Electrical Engineering, Control Systems, Robotics, Automation, or related fields.
- Contribute to the development of research projects and publications.
- Collaborate with colleagues on interdisciplinary research and innovation initiatives.
Industry Engagement and Partnerships
- Foster relationships with industry partners to support applied research, student projects, internships, and experiential learning opportunities.
- Contribute to initiatives that strengthen collaboration between MedTech and the professional community.
- Participate in outreach, innovation, and entrepreneurship activities when relevant.
Institutional Service
- Participate in departmental, school, and institutional committees and activities.
- Support academic events, student competitions, workshops, and community engagement initiatives.
- Contribute to the achievement of MedTech’s strategic objectives and academic mission.
Profile and Qualifications
Required Qualifications
- PhD in Electrical Engineering or a closely related discipline.
- Demonstrated expertise in one or more of the following areas:
⁃ Feedback Control Systems.
⁃ Control Engineering.
⁃ Dynamic Systems.
⁃ Automation.
⁃ Linear Systems.
⁃ Mechatronics.
⁃ Robotics and Autonomous Systems.
- Strong proficiency in English, with the ability to teach effectively in an English-speaking academic environment.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous teaching experience in higher education.
- Research record demonstrated through publications, projects, or industry collaborations.
- Experience supervising student projects and capstone work.
- Exposure to industry practices and applied engineering projects.
