Instructional Design Coordinator

Job Overview: 

The Instructional Design Coordinator will play a vital role in enhancing the quality of education at South Mediterranean University by supporting faculty members in designing, developing, and implementing effective instructional materials and strategies. This role is pivotal in promoting innovative and engaging teaching and learning experiences for our students.

Key Responsibilities: 

Curriculum Development:

Collaborate with faculty to design and revise curriculum content to align with pedagogical best practices and learning objectives.


Instructional Material Creation:

Create multimedia instructional materials, including videos, presentations, and online modules, to enhance the learning experience.


Pedagogical Support:

Provide guidance to faculty on instructional design principles, assessment strategies, and the integration of technology into teaching.


Technology Integration:

Stay current with educational technology trends and assist faculty in the effective integration of technology tools and platforms into their teaching.


Quality Assurance:

Conduct evaluations and assessments of instructional materials and teaching methods to ensure quality and alignment with educational goals.


Professional Development:

Organize workshops and training sessions for faculty on instructional design best practices and emerging trends in education.


Learner-Centered Approach:

Promote learner-centered pedagogy and support faculty in creating inclusive and accessible learning environments.

 

Coursera Platform Access Management:

Oversee and manage access to the Coursera platform.


Storyboard and MOOC Creation:

Collaborate closely with professors to create detailed storyboards, mapping out the structure, content, and flow of Online Courses.


SharePoint Site Creation for Training Resources:

Establish a SharePoint site dedicated to training resources, teaching tips, and organized recordings from previous training sessions. This centralized platform will serve as a valuable resource hub for all involved.

Qualifications:

  • Master's degree in Instructional Design, Educational Technology, or a related field.
  • Demonstrated experience in instructional design and curriculum development.
  • Proficiency in educational technology tools and software.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills.
  • Knowledge of pedagogical theories and their practical application.
