Talent Acquisition and Retention Manager

Job Summary: The Talent Acquisition and Retention Manager will play a pivotal role in driving the strategic development and execution of human resources initiatives at the South Mediterranean University. Reporting directly to the Chief Operating Officer, this position is responsible for overseeing the end-to-end talent acquisition process, implementing retention strategies, and fostering a positive work environment conducive to employee growth and satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities:

Talent Acquisition:

  • Develop and implement effective recruitment strategies to attract top talent for various roles within the university.
  • Manage the entire recruitment lifecycle, from job requisition to onboarding, ensuring a smooth and efficient process.
  • Collaborate with department heads to understand staffing needs and proactively address workforce requirements.

Retention Strategies:

  • Design and implement initiatives to enhance employee engagement and satisfaction.
  • Analyze turnover trends and implement strategies to improve employee retention.
  • Develop and maintain programs that promote a positive workplace culture and employee well-being.

Employer Branding:

  • Build and strengthen the university's employer brand to attract and retain high-caliber professionals.
  • Collaborate with marketing and communication teams to showcase the university's unique culture and values.

Performance Management:

  • Collaborate with managers to ensure the effective implementation of performance management processes.
  • Assist in identifying training and development needs to foster continuous employee growth.

Collaboration and Communication:

  • Act as a liaison between HR and other departments to ensure alignment of HR initiatives with overall university goals.
  • Communicate HR policies and procedures to staff and provide guidance on HR-related matters.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field. Master’s degree is a plus.
  • Proven experience of +4 years in talent acquisition, retention, and human resources management.
  • Strong understanding of HR best practices and employment laws.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a diverse and dynamic environment.
  • Demonstrated ability to develop and maintain effective relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
