ENTREPRENEURSHIP BOOTCAMPS FOR LIBYAN UNIVERSITIES

Since 2021, SMU hosted several bootcamps for Libyan universities around entrepreneurship capacities building, in the framework of the EU4PSL initiative, a project financed by the European Union and implemented by Expertise France, that aims to improve Libya’s business environment to generate economic growth and job opportunities for the youth and women. In particular, we have worked on developing the entrepreneurship culture among university students and young graduates in Libya.

Our program started with a 1-week “Entrepreneurs of the Future” bootcamp Training of Trainers for 36 professors from 12 Libyan universities and continued with an online capacity building program for the same audience to strengthen their Innovation & Incubation centers: strategy design, entrepreneurship programs design, soft skills, ecosystem development and Career & Alumni relations development.

At the end of the program, universities pitched their strategic plans with the attendance of an official delegation of the Libyan Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research.
