Job Title: Information Systems (IS) Assistant Coordinator

Department: Information Systems 

Reports To: IS/CRM Project Lead 

Location: South Mediterranean University (SMU)


Position Summary:

The IS Assistant Coordinator plays a pivotal role in supporting the organization's information systems operations by maintaining and improving digital tools, assisting with data management, and providing technical support. This role requires a mix of technical expertise, communication skills, and project coordination abilities to ensure the smooth functioning of IT systems, databases, and digital platforms.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Support the daily operations of the Information Systems department, including data cleaning, data visualization, and data integration.
  • Assist in the management, maintenance, and documentation of databases (SQL Server, MySQL)
  • Create and manage reports and dashboards using tools such as Excel, Power BI, or HubSpot.
  • Collaborate with departments to identify system improvements and help integrate new tools or platforms.
  • Support ERP and CRM systems (e.g., ZOHO ERP, HubSpot), ensuring data integrity and assisting end users.
  • Assist with project tracking and documentation using project management tools (e.g., Trello, MS Project).
  • Help maintain internal communication systems such as Microsoft Teams, Slack, and Zoom.
  • Provide basic technical support and training to users across the organization.
  • Participate in system audits and ensure adherence to data security policies and procedures.


Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems, Data Analytics, Data Science, Computer Science, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 1 year experience or academic background in data management and reporting.
  • Strong command of Microsoft Excel.
  • Familiarity with Power BI and data visualization techniques.
  • Experience with databases and understanding of data normalization.
  • Strong communication skills and a customer-service orientation.
  • Adaptability, autonomy, and teamwork.
